You will travel to a myriad of wonderful destinations, including National Parks full of superb game and we offer activities that will leave you spellbound such as Mountain Gorilla Trekking, a Balloon Ride over the Serengeti or Amboseli.  We can offer you a safari to those areas that are less crowded and untouched. We visit fascinating African tribes such as the Masai. Volcanoes, migration, rehabilitation centres Giraffe Manor/ Sheldrake centre. Mt Kilimanjaro. Source of the Nile. Chimps Ngamba Island, Lake Nakuru. Zanzibar Stone town spice islands.

Day 1   Arrive Entebbe Airport pick up will be provided.

Day 2    This morning we have an Optional visit to UWA Education Ctr. We will take a boat across Lake Victoria to Ngamba Island and the amazing chimpanzee sanctuary located on the island. We will spend the day on the island and after viewing and learning all about our closest relatives, we will have an African buffet lunch. We return to Entebbe.  Accommodation: Airport Guest House. Day 3   In the morning drive via Equator Café for lunch at lodge. Game walk in the afternoon.  Accommodation Mhingo Lodge BLD

Day 4-5  Early start to cross the Rwanda border for Ruhengeri. In the afternoon the Gorilla trek briefing.

Rising with the sun, we trek into the green cloaked and misty mountains to find the World’s rarest primate. The rainforest will drip around you as you first hear the breaking of bamboo signaling the group is near and then you will be face to face with one of the most delightful and fascinating creatures in the world. Spending time with these magnificent animals is a privilege and an experience that you will never forget.
   The viewing of the gorillas is restricted to 6-8 people per day per gorilla group. This is to safeguard the families from too much human contact. It is also accepted however that tourism brought in by the gorillas helps to preserve them from poachers as the money generated by these visits contributes to the local economies and protection of the gorillas.  Accommodation: Gorilla Mountain Nest. Day 6.  Today we will do the Golden Monkey trek or an option of another Gorilla trek.  Accommodation: Gorilla Mountain Nest. BLD

Day 7   Exit Rwanda via Kigali &  visit the Genocide memorial. Boat trip to Bushara Island.  Accommodation Bushara Island. BLD

Day 8   Drive back to Kampala. This is a full day drive. Overnight in Kampala.   Accommodation Kampala. BLD

Day 9   City / Shopping tour of Kampala. Depart Kampala for Jinja and time permitting a sunset float trip at Jinja in the afternoon.    Accommodation Nile Porch. B

Day 10   Today we have a day to explore Jinja and surrounds. Known as the Adventure Capital of East Africa, here you have a leisure day to laze the day away beside a pool overlooking the Nile. We will visit the famous Source of the Nile, the world’s longest river and Bujagali Falls. You can also visit a Softpower Community project. See Optional excursions available today.

Day 11  After an early start we drive eastward and enter Kenya. We move toward Nakuru and Kembu Camp, a real working dairy farm, African style, where we will stay for the evening and take a walk to stretch our muscles across rolling green pasture.  Lodge  Kembu Camp. BLD

Day 12-13  Today we proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park. We will game drive through the park and camp at Makalia Falls, where buffalo often come to drink. Most famous for its role in “Out of Africa”, Lake Nakuru has a vast amount of flamingos, black rhino, and perhaps the best spot in Kenya to see the most elusive of the big cats, the leopard. Here we spend two days; this is an excellent venue for filming and photography.  Camping: Makalia Falls, Nakuru National Park (Optional Upgrade available). BLD

Day 14  Today we will game drive the early hours of the morning through Lake Nakuru National Park, and head for Lake Naivasha, where we will stay on the edge of the lake, often with hippos grazing in the gardens. In the afternoon we will enjoy a visit to Elsamere - the home of Joy Adamson of Born Free fame.  Lodge Fish Eagle Inn. BLD

Day 15  Today we drive to Kenya’s capital city, Nairobi. We will drive to Sheldrake’s elephant orphanage and the Giraffe Centre, where you can have an opportunity to hand feed and view animals up close. Tonight a dinner at Carnivores restaurant can be organised
   (at own expense). Hotel: Nairobi Hotel. BL

Day 16 -17  We drive to Amboseli National Park in Kenya’s south west. Game viewing under the imposing heights of Mt Kilimanjaro. Optional Hot air balloon ride or a game drive the following day.   Camping – Amboseli NP Community Camp (Optional Upgrade available). BLD

Day 18  An early morning game drive out of Amboseli, we will cross the Tanzanian border and travel toward the Ngorongoro Crater, watching out for giraffe on either side of the highway. Masai warriors will be seen herding their animals and we will stay the night at Kudu Camp in Karatu.  Lodge Kudu Camp. BLD

Day 19   Leaving early this morning we enter the world famous Serengeti National Park. Along the way you can expect to see all kinds of game, perhaps even some of the migration, before we reach Seronera for the night. During the night lions and hyenas often frequent the grounds, baboons and elephants will stroll within easy camera-shot and you can feel the thrill of being in wild, wild Africa.

Day 20   Optional balloon ride this morning. For those that wish to view game by vehicle, first thing in the morning we will be game driving around the magnificent park, with zebra, wildebeest and antelope all very close. If we are very lucky a pride of lion or a solitary leopard will put in an appearance. There is plenty of game to be seen on the vast savannah lands, where you have an excellent opportunity to see cheetah.  Lodge – Wildlife Lodge Lobo, Serengeti. BLD

Day 21   This morning as we leave the savannah lands behind us and head back toward the Ngorongoro Crater area, we will begin to pass Masai Villages and noble warriors. We will stop and meet some of these interesting people before staying the night perched on the edge of the crater and its magnificent views.  Lodge – Wildlife Lodge, Ngorongoro Crater. BLD

Day 22   This morning we load up and drive down into the steep bowl of earth and game drive in this veritable Garden of Eden. Later in the day we will descend the crater’s edge and arrive back into Karatu for the evening.  Lodge– Kudu Camp, Karatu. BLD

Day 23   We will make our way towards the coast and Mt Kilimanjaro Airport where we will catch our flight to Zanzibar. Known as the ‘haven of peace’, we will transfer on to flights this afternoon to take us to the spice islands of Zanzibar. The night will be spent in Stone Town, in tropical warmth and salty air. The tiny streets hide a myriad of goods, from spices, to carvings, to jewellery and it will entice you to shop until you drop. Perhaps you would like to sample the famous night markets, where a plateful of seafood, freshly cooked and washed down by a glass of sugar juice will round off your day.  Hotel – Hotel Marine, Stone Town. Day 24 - 25   There are many activities to do on Zanzibar, from swimming with dolphins to walking with red Colobus monkeys, visiting the old slave markets or simply heading to Paje and the paradise beach that awaits you there. Watching dhows cruise past in the sunset as you drink a cocktail from a fresh coconut will make you realize you are truly in paradise.  Hotel – Paje by Night Hotel – Paje Beach. B

Day 26-27  Today we will transfer back to Dar es Salaam by plane.  Here we will spend 2 days before spending our final night enjoying our memories over great seafood and Dar’s wonderful atmosphere.  Hotel Kipepeo Beach Hotel. B

Day 28  
Depart to the airport for your flight home.
